Is Gorgoroth even Black Metal?

Gorgoroth, fake black metal for posers.
Gorgoroth, fake black metal for posers.

For all their talk of being the “only true black metal band”, one has to wonder if the members of Gorgoroth even know what black metal IS given how utterly lame their music output has been, more closely related to the “blackened deathcore” of Watain than to Under a Funeral Moon or Hvis Lyset Tar Oss.

Infernus, the band’s frontman, is such a fake, a pathological liar, a poser, an anti-European collaborator – he, along with Erik Danielsson of Watain and Lord Ahriman of Dark Funeral, called for bands like Dimmu Borgir and Satyricon to be banned because they promote “euro-centric pagan Nazism” – and an overall detestable individual, that he can’t even find any decent musicians to play with him.

Infernus, (((Hollywood Satanist))) and poser incarnate.
Infernus, (((Hollywood Satanist))) and poser incarnate.

He has “feuded” with Hat, Gaahl, King ov Hell, Samoth, Tormentor, Frost, and now even Pest doesn’t want anything to do with Gorgoroth anymore… quite understandably so.

So who is he left with? Atterigner, an unknown – and very mediocre – vocalist from an unknown Serbian deathgrind joke band, and the literal 49-year-old incel Tomas Asklund, whose only claim to fame is having played drums on “Reinkaos” (LOL) and in Dark Funeral, another fake black metal bands that has embarrassed the genre on more than one occasion.

Recently, King ov Hell gave an interview to a Norwegian newspaper (Bergen Tidende actually Bergensavisen, my bad) in which he confirmed what everyone already knew: that Infernus was indeed a police informant, and that “Hollywood Satanism” and “devil-worship” were being heavily promoted by the media, to “push out” pagan/European/atheist/regular/non-retarded black metal bands in favour of the completely fake astroturf “orthodox black metal” movement.

I mean… he literally avoided a jail sentence when he was found guilty of rape. By using the same legal loophole – the infamous “gross negligent rape” mitigation – that gets “rapefugees” released back into the streets.

Even Siv Jensen’s very mainstream Progress Party has mentioned this fact.

King: “[Christians] have chosen Jesus as their heroic character. But at the time when he was alive there were lots of other heroic characters who possessed the same abilities.”

Q: “You mean Satan?”

King: “No. The so-called Satanist circle in Bergen was created by a journalist from BT. […] I am of course proud of my Nordic heritage, so why would I throw that away to embrace some Middle-Eastern debasement? […] The church is more satanist than we are. They are the ones who are concerned with Satan, not us. They too get a ‘slap on the wrist’ for raping our children, […] the more things change…”

But Infernus is just the clown out in front – remember, just a few years ago Infernus was railing against “racists” and “anti-semites” and talking about how “true Satanism” is about “supporting immigration” and being against “Nazi pagan metal”.

The same can be said of Richard Lederer of Summoning, who celebrated the “Nazi women” getting raped in Rotherham in a very explicit Facebook post in 2013.

The entire (((Hollywood Satanism))) crowd – Gorgoroth, Watain, Dark Funeral, Summoning, Black Funeral, Krieg – is worthless, and toxic to the overall quality of the black metal scene.

  2. Even Enslaved is getting called “Nazi” now, by the usual tribe. Why? This one suspects that it has to do with them writing lyrics about Vikings and Norse Gods.

    That’s intolerable.

Black metal should be about Beelzebub (בַּעַל זְבוּב), Satan (שָּׂטָן), Azazel (עוזיאל) and Anne Frank or some other Hebraic shit from the Bible. That was the vision of Euronymous, Varg and Fenriz when they founded Mayhem, Burzum and Darkthrone (according to Lords of Chaos, at least).

    Paganism? That’s for Christians. I mean Neo-Nazis!!!

    Quite clearly stated – http://www.metalious.com/enslaved/eld/racist

Talk about Óðinn and Þórr = NEO-NAZI 6 MILLION!!!!
Think black metal artists can choose their own lyrical themes = NEO-NAZI 6 MILLION!!!!
Mention who runs the “anti-racist” movement = NEO-NAZI 6 MILLION!!!!
Say that Palestinians have human rights = NEO-NAZI 6 MILLION!!!!

That makes it REAL easy to spot “where” the center of gravity of anti-Whiteness is coming from.

The fact that they want to ban black metal bands that practice “implicit Whiteness”, which the antifa commenter on the Metalious thread describes as “having even one White band member” is very revealing.

So too is the fact that they deem lyrics mentioning Norse Gods and Pagan mythology “hate speech” “neo-Nazi”… proving beyond doubt (if there still was any) that Anti-Racist = Anti-White.

Hollywood gets a pass, I suppose, as they have the “right passport”. The one with the star of David. Also, they usually cast “coloured” people as Óðinn so whatever.

  3. Enter Infernus, the Fred Phelps of black metal. Some black metallers accuse Infernus of being a rapist and mostly, everyone in the black metal scene agrees that he’s a poser clown. So after starting his band Gorgoroth well after the second wave of black metal ended and the hysteria surrounding “Satanism” was beginning to die down, what was the first thing Infernus did? He ran to the media and introduced himself as a “prophet of Satan” who “made a pact with the Devil to dethrone Euronymous,” thereby providing them with an alibi justifying their completely fictional narrative of imaginary black metal devil worshipers.

Never mind the fact that Infernus was never part of the original black metal scene. Never mind the fact that he is exactly the type of “copycat band” that Varg Vikernes warned about. The media had their alibi, and they were more than willing to compensate Infernus for his efforts by promoting him as the “face of black metal”.
